In order to be able to participate in this program you must comply with certain minimum eligibility requirements. All applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be participating in their first J1 training program. Each individual is eligible to receive only one J1 training visa in a lifetime, which can be valid for a maximum period of 18 months.
• Have proficient English skills to perform in both social and training activities. The goal to improve English in the course of the program is not a permissible basis upon which to participate.
• Demonstrate educational focus and/or significant progressive experience focused on the area of training; normally a minimum of 2 years of education and/or experience is required.
• Be in good health to perform in the program outlined.
